
The Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association announced its 2021-22 All-Southwest District Girls Basketball selections with two girls earning first-team honors, two being chosen to second-team, two more as third-team and twelve recognized as honorable mention.
Troy’s Macie Taylor, who was also chosen as the Player of the Year in the MVL, was a first-team selection in Division I after averaging 18.3 points-per-game, 7.3 rebounds and 4.8 assists.
In Division IV, Bradford’s Austy Miller was a first-team selection after compiling 22.2 points-per-game and leading the Railroaders to the district final.
Earning second-team honors were Karley Morre of Bethel in Division III and Covington’s Claudia Harrington in Division IV. Moore averaged 16.6 points and 7.1 rebounds a game, while Harrington, who was also chosen as the Player of the Year in the TRC, averaged 16 points and 5.1 rebounds on the season.
Mackenzie Chin of Tippeconoe in Division II and Sarah Johnson of Troy Christian in Division IV were chosen to third-team. China averaged 11.7 points and 7.1 rebounds, while Johnson averaged 13 points and 11 rebounds.
