
WEST MILTON – The Bethel girls golf team closed out the regular season by winning the TRC Championships on Thursday and claiming the league title with an 8-1 record.
Kerigan Calhoun finished runner-up as an individual with a score of 102, while Aly Bird scored a 110 for 4th place and Paige Kearns scored a 121 for 8th place. All three earned first-team honors in the TRC and coach Ed Quincel was name Coach of the Year. Kaylee Brookhart was named honorable mention in the league.
The boys team finished tied for fourth with Miami East in the TRC Championships with a score of 367 and also tied Miami East for fourth in the overall standings with an 8-10 record.
Kyle Bruekman finished tied for second in the league meet with a score of 79, just one stroke short of tournament champion Tanner Conklin of Troy Christian.
Brueckman earned first-team honors in the TRC, while Ben Sonnanstine earned second team honors and Mike Halleg was honorable mention.
