ANNA – Bethel opened up sectional tournament play at Anna on Monday and came away with an impressive 7-3 win over the Rockets.
The Lady Bees wrapped 10 hits in the contest, led by Alyson Bird, who had 2 off her 2 hits being doubles. She had an RBI and scored 3 times, while Morgan Rogers had 3 hits, 2 RBI and scored once herself.
Allie Sheen doubled, while Courtney Eschete, Macy Hawk and Ellie Larkins all singled.
Lily Williams was stellar in the circle for Bethel as she allowed just 5 hits in going all seven innings. She struck out 8 and walked 4.
Defensively, Bethel played outstanding as it only committed one error in the game.
