
BRANDT – The Bethel softball team had a big day as Adaline Etherington tossed a two-hitter in a 15-0 victory over Belmont in five innings on Thursday. She struck out 13 batters in going all five innings of the run rule victory.
Bethel took command from the outset, plating six runs in the first and following with three more runs in the second. The Lady Bees put the game away with five runs in the third and one more in their final at bat in the fourth.
Defensively, Bethel played near flawless in the field, committing just one error, which prevented Belmont from generating any offense.
Mahailey Boksuntieau and Breanna Lewis drove in three runs a piece, while Macy Haak and Lily Mihelcic drove in two runs each. Courtney Eschete, Paige Kearns, Faith Moorefield, Morgan Rodges and Lily Williams also drove in runs for Bethel.
