Troy’s Nathan Brewster is the lone Trojan wrestler to qualify for the district wrestling meet this coming weekend at Kettering Fairmont High School.
Brewster, who finished third at 138 pounds, opened the sectional tournament with a :56 pin of Logan Crum of Tecumseh.
He followed with a 5:14 pin of Northmont’s Sullivan Dickey in the quarterfinals, but dropped into the consolation rounds with a semifinal loss to eventual runner-up Brody Hayes of Fairborn.
In the blood rounds where the stakes are win or go home, Brewster battled his way to secure a district birth with a 4:38 pin of Sidney’s Ivan Spencer.
Brewster then closed out the tournament with a 1:43 pin of Nathan Bonno of Beavercreek in the consolation final.
