It was a very cold and windy season opener for three county schools as Milton-Union, Miami East and Covington competed in a quad meet along with Oakwood at Milton-Union High School on Tuesday.
And with several big meets coming up for each program, many of the top athletes didn’t compete in all of the events they will see down the line.
For the host Bulldogs, Jenna Brumbaugh won the 100 meter dash (14.04), Savanna Smith won the 1600 (5:58.10) and Annie Smith won the long jump (15-5). The boys won the 4×100 relay (48.94) and Ray Copeland won the high jump (17-4.5)
