
PIQUA – Milton-Union had a strong showing at the Miami County Championships on Tuesday as the girls finished 3rd in the team standings and the boys finished 5th.
Ray Copeland and Carter Tinnerman won individual titles as Copeland won the 300 meter hurdles in a time of 43.69 and Tinnerman won the pole vault with a height of 14’8″. Copeland lo finished runner-up in the high jump (5’10”).
Annie Smith finished runner-up in the long jump (14’10.25″), while taking third the girls were the 3200 meter relay team (11:10.97), Annie Smith in the 100 meter hurdles (17.31), Jenna Brumbaugh in the 100 meter dash (13.60) and the long jump (14’10”), and Ty Parsons in the 800 meter run (2:39.86).
