TIPPECANOE HIGH SCHOOL – Out of 17 teams from around the area, Miami East finished in second with 229.5 points, Tippecanoe finished fifth with 107.0, and Troy came in sixth with 105.0 points at the Tipp Red Devil Wrestling Invitational on Saturday.
The Vikings had a successful day as several of their wrestlers had first place finishes including senior Cooper Shore (120), junior Daniel Martin (150), and junior Hunter Randall (165).


Freshman Bradon Lewis (106) finished second as well as juniors Drake Bennett (190) and Layton Hughes (144).Mia
As for third place, Miami East had sophomore Aaron Mills in 144 lbs and senior Dustin Winner in 285 lbs.
Freshman Emmitt Ondera (150) and sophomore Chris Smith (175) pulled off fourth place finishes in their weights and freshman Gabe Cole (113) came in fifth for his.
Senior Dylan Arthur placed sixth in 285 lbs.
While Tippecanoe didn’t have any first place finishes, they had freshman Andrew Lyons (113) and sophomore Brett Ballard (157) get third in their weights.

Their fifth place overall finish was supported by junior Riley Logan (132), freshman Collin Isaac (138), and sophomore Riley Nichols (144) who each placed fifth in their weights.
Senior Oliver Murry (132) and sophomore Cade Frazier (165) earned sixth place.





Troy’s freshman TJ Murray had a good day placing second in 113 lbs as well as freshman Andan Kemmer (126) and junior Danny Murray (175) who each placed third in their weights.
The Trojans were also supported by senior Tyler Plunkett’s (165) fourth place finish as well as junior Brayden Lester’s (144) 6th place finish.
