
TROY – Troy Christian found itself down 3-0 to Twin Valley South on Wednesday when the game was called due to poor weather conditions. The Eagles returned Thursday refocused and after South plated a run in the top of the fourth, Troy Christian crushed the ball in the bottom of the inning for 11 runs.
The big hits came on three home runs – two three-run homers by Lucas Day and a two-run homer by Matthew Major.
It was all Troy Christian needed as it advanced with an 11-4 win.
The Eagles tallied 12 hits and overcame 5 fielding errors.
Lucas Day went 2-for-4 with 2 home runs, 6 RBI and 2 runs score, while Matthew Major went 1-for-1 with a home run, 1 RBI, 1 runs scored and walked three times.
Zane Harris and Gavin Blore had 2 hits each, while Connor Frye, Camden Koukol, Ben Major, Paul McDonald and Judah Simmons all record one it.
