
TROY – Troy Christian found itself in trouble early in a Three Rivers Conference battle against Bethel as the Bees scored five runs in the top of the first.
But the Eagles have the offensive firepower to overcome any type of adversity, which was proven a Troy Christian took little time to reclaim the momentum by scoring a run in the bottom of the first and five in the bottom of the second to take a 6-5 lead.
Bethel scored a run in the top of the fourth to tie the score, but Troy Christian put the game away in the sixth with four runs. Three outs in the seventh closed out the game with the Eagles claiming a hard-fought 10-6 win.
Troy Christian recorded nine hits in the contest with Lucas Day leading the way with a home run, a double, 5 RBI and one run scored. PaulM McDonald had 2 hits as well, along with an RBI and 2 runs scored.
The Eagles improve to 16-5 overall and 13-0 in the TRC.
