DAYTON – Troy Christian stormed out to a fast start and cruised to a very impressive 58-32 victory over Riverview East Academy at UD Arena on Wednesday to win a District Championship.
The Eagles jumped out to an 11-0 lead to start the game and ended the first half with a 14-0 run after Riverview was able to close the gap to six points, 19-13.
With a comfortable lead 33-13 to start the second half, Troy Christian kept Riverview in check by outscoring its opponent 25-19 in the second half.
Troy Christian will play Russia in the Regional Semifinal on Tuesday at Fairmont High School’s Trent Arena. The game is scheduled to start at 8:00pm.
