
The Troy Christian wrestling team had a huge day Saturday at the inaugural Three Rivers Conference Championships as all six of its wrestlers placed high in their respective weight classes – five winning individual titles.
Due to their outstanding performances, the Eagle finished runner-up in the team standings with 143.5 team points.
Winning individual titles for the Eagles were junior Kyle Schroer (106 lbs.), junior Jason Shaffer (132 lbs.), senior Troy Kennedy (138 lbs.), senior David Stumpff (144 lbs.), and junior Connor Havill (175 lbs.). Junior Lee Burkett took runner-up honors at 190 pounds.
