BRANDT – The Bethel girls golf team opened the 2022 TRC play with a huge win over Miami East, who entered the season as the defending league champions from a year ago.
Playing on its home course, Homestead Golf Course, Bethel tallied 243 strokes to 256 strokes for Miami East.
Leading the way for the Lady Bees was Kerigan Calhoun, who carded a 54. Paige Kearns turned in a 57, while Kaylee Brookhart tallied 63 strokes. Any Bird scored a 69 and Abby Stratton totaled 76.
For Miami East, Olivia Patton scored a 59 and Olivia Shafer carded a 459. Ava Jacomet turned in 69 strokes, Addison Jennings had 72, Kendal Staley 75 and Briana Stevens carded an 83.
