
WEST MILTON- Up 8-5 going into the bottom of the sixth inning, it appeared the Lady Bees from Bethel had the game in hand but West Milton wasn’t giving up that easy scoring 4 runs in the final two frames for a walk-off 9-8 victory at The Lowery Sports Complex.
In the bottom of the sixth, sophomore Regan Fulton singled and freshman Miley Jones hit a drive that Bethel right fielder Morgan Rodgers watched sail over the fence to cut the deficit to 8-7.
Miley Jones, on the mound for the Lady Bulldogs, shut down the Bees in the top of the seventh keeping the score at 8-7 giving Milton a chance. With two outs, Bulldog sophomore Carly Zimmer homered to tie the game and it looked like extra innings but senior Jenna Booher doubled and eventually scored on a single by sophomore Raegan Fulton for the walk-off win.
West Milton is now 6-8 overall and 5-5 in the Three Rivers Conference standings with Bethel 7-10 overall and 4-6 in league play.
