
MIDDLETOWN – Milton-Union had huge offensive day on Monday in a 11-5 win over Middletown Madison as the Lady Bulldogs pounded out 15 hits in the contest.
The game wasn’t easy, however, as the Lady Bulldogs trailed 4-2 heading into the fifth inning. But back-to-back big innings broke the game open as Milton-Union plated three runs in the fifth and five in the sixth to take a commanding 10-4 lead.
Middletown Madison managed a run in the bottom of the sixth, but the Lady Bulldogs scored a run in the seventh to cap an impressive win.
Carly Zimmer went four innings in the circle for Milton-Union, while Raegan Fulton threw two innings and Miley Jones tossed one inning. They all combined to limit Madison to 7 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 5.
Offensively, Maddie Baker, Carly Zimmer and Jenna Booher all had 3 hits. Miley Jones doubled and tripled in the contest to drive in 4 runs, while Regan Robinson, Raegan Fulton, Rhi Emmons and Taylor Falb all had hits. In all, Milton-Union had 4 hits go for extra bases.
