
The Troy Christian girls basketball team fell in the sectional tournament on Tuesday with a 53-34 loss to Covington at Trotwood Madison High School.
But it didn’t deter what was as season to build on with a roster consisting of nine players. In all, the Lady Eagles finished fourth in the TRC standings with an 8-6 record in the league.
Leading the way was First-Team All-TRC selection, Sarah Johnson. The senior standout ranked third in the league with 12.0 points-per-game, first in the league with a 50.5% shooting percentage, first blocked shots and second in rebounding with 10.2 per-game.
Sophomore guard Brooklyn Lavy tallied 10.9 points-per-game and led the Lady Eagles in assists with 62.
Throughout the season Troy Christian captured wins over Milton-Union twice, Riverside twice, Northridge twice, Lehman Catholic twice, Dayton Christian, Graham and Northwestern.
