Tipp softball rallied late but fell to the Xenia Buccaneers 15-10 at Tippecanoe Middle School Monday night. The Lady Red Devils had narrowed the score to 11-8 after 6 innings but Xenia scored 4 runs in the top of the 7th to put the game out of reach.
Tipp scored 2 in the bottom of the 7th to cut the margin to 5 but Xenia retired the Red Devils to end the game.
Freshman pitcher Ella Henn pitched a complete game giving up all 15 runs to the Bucs. The Lady Red Devils had 13 hits in the game with Ashley Aselage, Kyla Fry, Maddie Carner and Ally Broering providing the offense.
Tipp hosts Piqua tonight, weather permitting.
