Troy Girls Fall to Miamisburg 41-30 By: Elise Hempker
TROY HIGH SCHOOL – It was a nail biter up until the 4th quarter as the Lady Trojans took on the Vikings last night.
In the first quarter, senior Brynn Siler came out on fire hitting 3 three-pointers in a row and giving Troy the momentum to lead Miamisburg by 2 points going into the second quarter.
During the second period, the ladies continued to hold their own with sophomore Amyannah Tucker adding several points. Despite a lot of back and forth on the scoring end, Troy was able to lead 20-19 going into halftime.
After the break, both teams found it hard to keep the momentum going, only putting up 8 and 10 points in the third quarter.
However, the slump didn’t last for the Vikings. Despite two back to back blocks from Siler, Miamisburg didn’t miss and held the Lady Trojans to only 2 points in the final quarter.
The Troy Lady Trojans are now 5-11 on the season and will take on Fairborn Wednesday, Jan. 18 at home.
