TROY HIGH SCHOOL – The Troy girls varsity basketball team came up short against a tough West Carrollton team last night.
During the first half, the ladies struggled to get the ball to fall, only putting up 13 points by halftime. However, the girls were able to turn it around after the break and were able to double their score from the first half and added 26 points in the second.
The Trojan offense was led by senior Brynn Siler who finished with 12 points and an impressive block in the second quarter. Some other key Trojan scorers were junior Kiyah Baker and sophomore Amyannah Tucker who put up 10 points each.
Senior Mackenzie Rogers, and juniors Jadyn Almeida and Emma Levan contributed 2 points each and freshman Landry Niles had 1.
Troy is now 1-2 overall and 1-1 in the MVL on the season, and they look to better their record as they host Xenia on Saturday, at 12:00 PM.
