BRANDT – Miami East dropped its season and league opener on Friday to rival Bethel at Homestead Golf Course. Bethel tallied 243 strokes to 256 strokes for Miami East, who won the inaugural TRC title a year ago.
For Miami East, Olivia Patton scored a 59 and Olivia Shafer carded a 459. Ava Jacomet turned in 69 strokes, Addison Jennings had 72, Kendal Staley 75 and Briana Stevens carded an 83.
Leading the way for the Lady Bees was Kerigan Calhoun, who carded a 54. Paige Kearns turned in a 57, while Kaylee Brookhart tallied 63 strokes. Any Bird scored a 69 and Abby Stratton totaled 76.
