BROOKVILLE — The Miami East volleyball defeated West Liberty-Salem in three straight sets 25-17, 25-21, 25-19 in the sectional final at Brookville High School on Tuesday. The win improves Miami East’s record to 21-4 overall.
The Lady Vikings, who entered the tournament seeded 2nd, defeated #19 Triad 25-10, 25-9, 25-8 and #21 Dayton Dunbar 25-5, 25-3, 25-4 to set up the sectional final match with #4 seed West Liberty-Salem.
Miami East will play #7 seed Cincinnati Mariemont in a district final Saturday at Fairfield High School. Mariemont advanced to the district final by knocking off top ranked Williamsburg in four sets 18-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-18.
