
LEWISBURG – Monday night was as close to a home run derby as it can get as Troy Christian’s Ben Major and Lucas Day took turns going yard to trill the Eagle faithful.
The duo combined for five home runs in a 20-1 victory over Tri-County North – three hit by Major and two by Day.
In all, Troy Christian had 18 hits on the day with Day and Major recording three hits a piece. Major drove in 8 runs and scored 4 times, while Day had 3 RBI and scored 3 runs.
Connor Frye, Zane Harris, Camden Koukol and Matthew Major all had two hits, while Gavin Blore, Carson Little, Seth Ryan and Ryan Waltz had a hit a piece.
Gavin Blore went the distance on the hill, striking out 4 and walking just 1 batter.
