MIAMI COUNTY ATHLETES IMPRESSIVE AT PIQUA TRACK INVITATIONAL

The Troy women won the team title scoring 138.33 points over a tough Findlay squad on the last event of the evening, the 4 x 400 relay. Troy finished the race in 5th place just behind Findlay securing the victory.

Leah Harnish of Troy won an individual title in the 400 with a time of 58:98 while Piqua’s Cassie Schrubb finished second.

Troy’s Anna Boezi was a double winner in the hurdles, edging out Milton Union’s Annie Smith 16.75 to 16.76 and won the 300 meter race in 49:84 over second place finisher Jillian Layne of Waynesville.

Piqua sprinter Camilla Nicholas was a double winner, taking the 100 and 200 meter titles over Natalie Rakestraw of Findlay 12.73 to 12.80 in the 100 and 26.52 to 27.40 in the 200.

Piqua’s Jasiah Medley won the 100 meters by edging out Liam Acevedo of Franklin 11.31 to 11.50.

Troy’s Devon Strobel won a title in the discus with a toss of 138′ 1″.

Troy’s Max Chipley captured the shot put title over Piqua’s Landon Hare 41′ 11.5 inches to 41′ 5 inches.

Milton Union’s Carter Tinnerman won the men’s pole vault title with a height of 14′.

Troy’s Gavin Hutchinson edged out Ty Cordonnier in the 800 meter run 2:05.12 to 2:05.84.
