WEST MILTON-Troy senior distance runner Millie Peltier took an early lead and won the Miami County Cross Country Invitational at West Milton on Saturday morning finishing just under 20 minutes at 19:58.3 for the 5000 meter race on the scenic course that takes runners around the soccer fields and through the woods and onto the track running surface at the Lowery Complex.
Covington’s Elyza Long finished second, some 16 seconds behind and 10 seconds ahead of Tippecanoe’s Isa Ramos in a race that started with 82 runners representing the 10 schools in Miami County.
