
PIQUA – The Miami East Vikings performed extremely well at the Miami County Championships with the boys taking third as a team and the girls finishing fourth.
For the girls, Annika Patton won the discus with throw of 113’5″ and the short put with a distance of 31’3.5″, while the 3200 relay team of Kennedee Elifritz, Kyley Davie, Maryn Gross and Lindi Snodgrass finished runner-up in a time of 11:03.23.
The boys 800 (1:34.92) and 1600 (3:32.51) meter relay teams won championships, while Jayden Hatcher won the 400 meter dash in the time of 51.74. Finishing runner-up for the boys were Josh Amheiser in the ole vault (13’0″) and Elijah Willmeth, who won two events – the 1600 meter run in a time of 4:49.82 and the 800 meter run in the time of 2:07.59.
