
WEST MILTON – The Milton-Union Bulldogs capped an unbeaten regular season on Friday with a 51-7 victory over Riverside in a game that decided the outright Three Rivers Conference Championship.
It also capped a dominating regular season as the Bulldogs outscored their opponents 448 to 47.
Milton started off fast as Michael Elam scored on runs of 68 and 24 yards in the opening quarter and followed with a six-yard run to start the second quarter. Blake Brumbaugh followed with a 12-yard run and Mason Grudich kicked a 27-yard field goal to give the Bulldogs a 31-0 lead at the break.
Playing under a running clock in the second half, Brumbaugh scored on a 35-yard pass from Nate Morter and Trey Kiser scored on two one-yard runs.
Overall, Milton-Union racked up 386 yards of offense with 310 coming on the ground.
Elam had 174 yards on 13 carries to lead the Bulldog offense.
Milton-Union enters the playoffs ranked #2 in Division V, Region 20 and will host Greenon in the opening round.
