BRADFORD – Sometimes things just don’t go your way and sometimes it is because the team you are facing is hitting on all cylinders.
That was the case Monday as Milton-Union fell to Bradford 12-1 in five innings in non-conference action.
Bradford, who has plenty of talent from last year’s state championship team, has been red hot lately – winning eights straight games against solid competition.
The Lady Railroaders plated 5 runs in the first, 3 in the third and 4 in the fourth to built a 12-0 lead.
Milton-Union scored its lone run in the top of the fifth on a home run by Jenna Booher, but it wasn’t enough to prevent the game from being stopped due to the OHSAA rules.
In all, Milton-Union managed 2 hits against, both off the bat of Jenne Booher.
Madeline McGuffy and Miley Jones combined for the effort in the circle for the Lady Bulldogs and had their hands full with a potent Bradford offense who connected on 13 hits in the contest.
