HUBER HEIGHTS,OHIO- After Friday’s nights OHSSA regional finals, it appeared as if Camilla Nicholas had run her last race for the Indians but after looking at all the times from the 4 regions in Ohio on Saturday, it was determined she had qualified in both the 100 and 200 meter races to be held Friday at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.
The times were incorrect for the first 2 heats of the 200 and had to be rerun after all other events were completed with Nicholas running a 25.27 in the 200 to finish 5th and it appeared her high school track season was over.
In the 100, Nicholas ran a solid 12:31 and finished 6th against a fast field.
After the OHSSA tallied up all of the results, it was determined that Nicholas made both the 100 and 200 as a wildcard qualifier. Her 100 time was 11th fastest and she placed 8th fastest in the 200.
