
PIQUA, OHIO-The Piqua Indians rolled into the annual match-up with Troy outscoring its first two opponents, Belmont and West Carrollton, 113-0 and extended that streak by beating the Trojans 59-0 and tying up the series between the two Miami County powers..
The Indians scored early and often for their third straight victory as they head for a showdown with 3-0 Xenia at Doug Adams Stadium this Friday for MVL bragging rights.
The Indians defense scored three times on two fumbles and an interception with Sam Schmeising scoring two rushing touchdowns to go with 98 yards on the ground. Indians quarterback Brady Uuhl was 6 for 7 passing with one TD.
Jackson Trombley was good on all 8 PAT’s and added a 30 yard field goal while consistently putting all of his kickoffs into or near the endzone giving the Trojans only one chance for a return.
The Indians amassed 356 yards of total offense while holding Troy to 138.
