PIQUA – Bethel competed in the Miami County Championships on Tuesday at Piqua High School with Remi Brannan leading the way by finishing first in the shot put with a toss of 41’6″.
The Bethel boys also placed 8th in three other events – Kenny Wise in the 100 meter dash (11.83), the boys 800 meter relay team (1:44.95) and the 1600 meter relay team (4:12.84).
The girls finished 8th with 21 team points as the 1600 relay team won a championship in the time of 4:32.28. Also, the 3200 relay team finished 7th (13:06.50), Sarah Newton placed 6th in the 100 meter hurdles (18.99), Abby Rogers finished 7th in the 100 meter dash (14.12), the 800 ever relay team finished 5th (2:04.89), Karley Moore finished 8th in the 400 meter dash (1:09.36), Lydia Brannan finished 7th in the 800 meter run (2:52.13), Kyle Balkcom finished 8th in the 322 (13:23.14) and Karley Moore finished 7th in the high jump (4’6″).
