
The Bethel Lady Bees claimed their second straight TRC Championship by finishing 14-0 in the league standings and 18-4 overall during the regular season. Last season Bethel shared the league title with Covington and this year the Lady Bees won an outright championship.
Karley Moore of Bethel was chosen as the Athlete of the Year in girls basketball after leading the league with 15.9 points-per-game and 3.8 steals-per-game. Bethel coach Danny Elam was also named Coach of the Year.
Bethel had two players chosen as First-Team selections, Karley Moore and Kerigan Calhoun. Joining them on the First Team were Jenna Brumbaugh and Rachel Jacobs of Milton-Union, Maggie Anderson of Covington, McKayah Musselman of Miami East, and Trinitee Frazier of Northridge.
Earning Second Team were Rhyan Reittinger of Bethel, Carlie Besecker of Covington, Maryn Gross of Miami East, Brooklyn Lavy of Troy Christian, Mara O’Leary of Lehman Catholic, and Jade Copas of Riverside.
Honorable Mention were Emma Evans and Maddie Montgomery of Bethel, Gracie Anderson and Avery Koffer of Covington, Ava Berberich and Kearsyn Robison of Milton-Union, Camryn Francis and Jacqueline Kadel of Miami East, Kathleen Johnson and Riley Orange of Troy Christian, Taylor Geise and Layla Platfoot of Lehman Catholic, Javonan Jordan and Jayah Martin of Northridge, and Avery Perk and Ayva Stewart of Riverside.
