
TROY-The Troy Trojans hockey team wasn’t very kind to their visitors from the Metro-Columbus area and Bishop Watterson headed back east on I-70 with a 5-2 loss.
Ian Francis-Knott started off the Troy scoring with a goal at 3:47 in the first period with assists from Cooper Sexton and Brady Smith.
With 14:55 left in the 1st period, Brandon Feaver of Bishop Watterson knotted the score at 1-1 with a goal assisted by Michael Wozniak.
At 6;51 of the second period, Troy’s Eli Wenning broke the tie with a goal and assist from Ethan Bidle.
The scored stayed 2-1 going into the second intermission.
At 2:14 of the third period, Troy’s Cooper Sexton scored his first of 2 goals from assists by seniors Gaven Burris and Cam Lombardo putting Troy up 3-2.
Bishop Watterson’s Michael Wozniak brought the score to 3-2 with a goal at 4;36 and assist by Alex Schirack.
Troy ended the scoring in the third with another goal by Sexton and one by Burris to put the game out of reach.
Troy will be playing in the Kettering hockey tournament Thanksgiving weekend and is home next Sunday, December 4th for Teacher’s Night at 5;45 in beautiful Hobart Arena.
