
DAYTON – Miami East blew open a scoreless tie with 11 runs in the top of the third en route to a 14-1 run rule victory over Northridge on Tuesday.
Connor Apple went the distance on the hill for Miami Wast and recorded 12 strikeouts, no walks and allowed just 3 hits and one run. The Vikings played error-free baseball in the field.
Miami East connected on eight hits with Wesley Nidgorksi and Michael Till both going 2-for-3 at the plate, while Owen Haak, Keidin Pratt, Wes Penny and Luke Hammaker all recorded hits as well.
The Vikings, 1-0 overall and 1-0 in the TRC, travels to Lehman Catholic on Thursday.
