
SIDNEY – Miami East improves to 2-0 overall and 2-0 in the TRC with a 4-3 win over Lehman Catholic on Thursday.
The Vikings fell behind 2-1 after one, but responded with two runs in the second and another run in the fourth to take a 4-2 lead. Lehman scored a run in the bottom of the sixth, but the Vikings were able to hold on for the win.
Sophomore Owen Haak picked up the win on the hill for the Vikings, while Vincent Crane recorded the save. Haak went five inning and allowed just two hits and two walks. He struck out four batters. Crane tossed the final two innings and allowed one run, three hits and struck out three.
Miami East tallied seven hits with Keidin Pratt leading the way with two hits and an RBI. Wesley Nidzgorski doubled, while Connor Apple, Luke Hammaker, Layton Hughes and Owen Haak all singled in the contest.
