
INDIAN LAKE – Miami East fell to Indian Lake 5-3 in a game that had to be made up due to weather conditions on May 9th. The loss drops the Vikings record to 12-9 on the season with a league contest against Riverside that still needs to be played.
The Vikings opened up the game with a run in the first and Indian Lake followed with a run of its own in the bottom half of the inning to tie the score at 1-1.
The game was knotted 3-3 heading into the sixth where Indian Lake scored two runs in the bottom half of the inning to hand the Vikings the 5-3 defeat.
Miami East had five hits with Luke Hammaker going 2-for-3, Keidin Pratt 1-for-2, Wes Penny 1-for-3 and Landon Scott 1-for-3.
The Vikings begin tournament play on Wednesday at home against Preble Shawnee.
